Stories That Move Book Tour: Roy Juarez, Jr mission to connect the State of California
This past weekend, award-winning, Amazon bestselling author Roy Juarez, Jr. hosted a powerful and heartfelt book signing event at Barnes & Noble in McAllen, TX. The event, held on Saturday, February 22, 2025, was an unforgettable experience for both Roy and his supporters, proving once again the impact of his story, his resilience, and his message of hope.
July 25th 2025 – Barnes & Noble: Palmdale, California
First stop of the Stories That Move California Tour.
Where 90% of our Book sold before the event even started!! Thank you for the love and support – This journey is off to an amazing start.
July 29th 2025 in Visalia, California at the Book Nook
Huge gratitude to the Book Nook and their incredible team for welcoming me with open arms. One of the staff members lit up the moment she heard Roy’s story. She told us she once sat on a plane next to his baby brother, Ray Reynosa, and the moment she heard our story, she knew it was the same one.
“What are the chances?” said Roy.
It’s moments like this that remind us: the world is vast, but connection makes it feel small. Every seat you take, every hand you shake, every story you share — it can ripple farther than you’ll ever see.
That’s why I keep sharing my story. That’s why I keep listening to yours.
July 30th 2025 in Modesto, California at Barnes & Nobles
Roy was accompanied by his best friend James who was a support system for Roy on his first global tour (The HomelessByChoice Tour) around the country back in 2010 where Roy reached over 100,000 people.
James came back to aid Roy in his mission to inspire the communities of California.
August 1st 2025 in Citrus Heights, California at Barnes & Nobles
What a great event at Citrus Heights, connecting with the community.
Every stop reminds me that while the venues change, the heart of the work stays the same — people connecting over stories. We may come from different backgrounds, carry different struggles, or dream different dreams, but in moments like these, we’re reminded that we’re more alike than we are different.
Stories have a way of breaking down walls and building bridges and when we share them, we realize we’re never truly alone.
August 2nd 2025 in Walnut Creek and San Bruno, California at Barnes & Nobles
Thank you to the Walnut Creek community for having me. This event was filled with love, laughter, and genuine connection.
It made me wonder — imagine how much closer we could be as a community if we came together like this more often: to listen without judgment, to learn from each other’s experiences, and to truly understand one another.
When we gather with open hearts, we don’t just share space, we strengthen the ties that hold us together.
August 3rd 2025 in Los Gatos, CA at Beyond Text Book Store
A cozy room lined with shelves that seemed to hold not just books, but the dreams and voices of countless authors before me. A handful of people gathered, not because of flashy advertising or large crowds, but because they cared enough to show up. They sat in a semi-circle, leaning in, asking thoughtful questions, and giving me the space to share my mission and my journey.
We laughed. We reflected. We got real about the challenges young people face and the power of resilience and storytelling to change a life. And as I looked into the eyes of the people in that room, I realized something: impact isn’t measured in numbers, it’s measured in depth.
It’s easy to chase “more” more seats filled, more likes, more reach. But sometimes the most meaningful moments happen when you’re speaking to just a few people who are truly present. So thank you, Beyond Text, for reminding me that even the smallest rooms can hold the biggest impact.
August 4rd 2025 in Gilroy, CA at Barnes & Nobles
Today’s Barnes & Noble event sold out of every book they had! I’m beyond grateful for everyone who came, listened, and supported the Stories That Move tour.
Only one picture, but Gilroy was special.
It’s a reminder that sometimes the best moments aren’t the ones you capture on camera, but the ones you carry in your heart. Not every milestone needs a photo to prove it happened — the impact is real, whether or not it’s posted.
August 5th 2025 in Hollister, CA at Hills Bookstore
When I walked into Hill’s Bookstore around 11 AM, I noticed a young woman buying my book. The owner later told me she stayed and read nearly half of it right there in the store.
That evening, she returned for an autograph — having already finished the entire book. She was emotional, sharing how deeply it had touched her.
It reminded me of something powerful: you never know the impact your work can have in someone’s life, and sometimes that impact happens faster than you could ever imagine. Whether you’re telling a story, starting a project, or simply offering a kind word — share it.
We may think it’s “just another day” for us, but for someone else, it could be the day that changes everything.
Grateful for every moment on the Stories That Move Tour – California. 💫
